A beloved (and free!) New York tradition, Shakespeare in the Park is held in the lovely open-air Delacourt Theater in Central Park. If you relish theatrics, there’s no better backdrop to swordfights and royal romance than The Belvedere Castle in the background. This tradition has drawn the likes of Meryl Streep and Denzel Washington as past guests. Go to publictheater.org/en/Free-Shakespeare-in-the-Park.
