How To Find Your Fashion Style
Many people have issues with finding their personal style. Whether you’re following the latest trends or struggling to find an outfit to wear to an event, it’s good to know that discovering your style is not an overnight thing and that it is okay to make mistakes along the way.
Here are my tips to help you find your fashion style:
finding your style is a process
Like I previously said, finding your personal style does not happen overnight. It can take years for you to master what colors work best for your skin tone and what silhouettes work best with your figure. Don’t rush, but trust the process.
It’s Okay to Follow trends
Following trends are a great way to find inspiration for your personal style. It can help you figure out what looks good on you, and it might spark other great outfit ideas. If you admire someone’s style, try to emulate it in your own way- add personal touches to truly make it yours.
Don’t be afraid to go against trends
Just because everyone is wearing crop tops doesn’t mean that you have to. If you don’t like the way the way a new trend looks on you-don’t wear it. Going against the grain is a fashion statement of its own.
Start with the basics and go from there
You can really explore your fashion sense with a steady canvas. Start with some basic fashion items: a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. From there you can add layers of clothing and accessories to your appeal.
My final tip is to not be afraid to take fashion risks. Staying in your comfort zone will not help you find your true fashion style. Try to wear something that feels a bit outside of your comfort zone. It will give you confidence to try other fashion items that are more different.
Keep these tips in mind and you will be on your way to finding your signature style.
